This project, led by Joe Dorinko and supervised by Maddison Sunners, involved a series of essential upgrades, all while maintaining depot operations throughout the entire process. As the principal contractor, Nqpetro was responsible for overseeing the entire reline process and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Nqpetro managed permitting through our in-house WPCG (Workplace Health and Safety) compliance systems, ensuring that the project met all necessary regulatory standards.
A key challenge of this project was the site’s limited footprint, which required careful management of the construction process. As the principal contractor, Nqpetro took charge of managing the reline process of the existing underground steel tanks, which included confined space entry permitting and supervision of the reline contractor to ensure compliance with WPCG rules and regulations.
Relining the tanks minimized the construction footprint, which was vital to the site as the depot needed to remain operational throughout the project. With the new tanks, upgraded pipework, and the ATG system, the site now operates like a newly constructed facility underground, meeting modern industry standards.
Throughout the 10 weeks of work, Nqpetro ensured depot operations continued smoothly, providing uninterrupted services while delivering the project on time and meeting all objectives.
